RENOVATED SOLNHOFEN LIMESTONE FLOORING IN THE CHURCH OF JÁNOSHÁZA

By the end of 2018, the complete interior renovation of the catholic church in Jánosháza was completed. Frescoes, altars, baptismal fountains and the whole limestone flooring have been renewed. A part of the over 200-year-old Solnhofen limestone tiles have been reused after a process of re-cutting and re-honig while the other part of the tiles has been replaced by new, slightly honed 40x40 cm tiles received from the Solnhofen factory.

The renovated old and the new solnhofen limestone floor tiles finally give the nearly 300-year old church an elegant and impressive appearance.
