NEW SOLNHOFEN FLOORING AND CONTEMPORARY INTERIOR IN THE ST. MICHAEL’S CHURCH IN NYERSGESÚJFALU

In 2024, the full renovation of the sanctuary at St. Michael’s Church in Nyergesújfalu was completed.

This beautiful 18th-century Baroque church now features a brand-new Solnhofen limestone floor, along with a restored main altarpiece.
As part of the renovation, the sanctuary was also fitted with new liturgical furnishings, including a custom-designed altar made from color-pigmented architectural concrete — a striking contrast to the natural wood elements of the contemporary furniture.

The limestone floor is made from 40x40 cm tiles with honed finish, produced by our German manufacturing partner, Solnhofen Stone Group GmbH.
