JURA LIMESTONE COVERINGS IN THE NEW CHURCH OF NEMESVÁMOS

2025-12-19

The new catholic church in Nemesvámos was finished in November 2025. Built with the support of the local community and named after the Portuguese pilgrimage site of Fátima, the church reached its final form this year after a long design and construction process.

The timeless natural stone and wood coverings fit really well with the modern interior. Inside the church, the floor is covered with honed Jura limestone tiles in 30×30 cm and 60×60 cm sizes. The altar is also made from Jura limestone, with a tabletop measuring 204×95 cm and 8 cm thick, along with matching side panels.

The elegant light beige-yellow Jura limestone equally suited to both classic and contemporary architectural environment contributing to the high architectural quality.

The limestone cladding for the Nemesvámos Fátima Church was produced in the plant of our Jura limestone partner (Solnhofen Stone Group) in Germany.

You can see pictures of the church in the gallery below.
